Eligible applicants may receive financing for approved costs associated with their J1 Summer Work & Travel programme, including:

Applicant Requirements:
A completed online financing application
Valid government-issued identification
Tax Registration Number (TRN)
Proof of address
An eligible guarantor who lives and works in Jamaica
Proof of tertiary enrollment
Relevant Work & Travel programme or agency documentation
Additional supporting documents requested during the review process
Applicants may begin the financing process either before or after registering with their Work & Travel agency.
Guarantor Requirements
The guarantor must live and work in Jamaica and should be gainfully employed or self-employed.
Required Documents:
Valid government-issued identification
Tax Registration Number (TRN)
Employment or income verification
Proof of address
Employment letter and/or the most recent three payslips, where applicable

Employed guarantors should generally have been with their employer for at least two years.

Self-employed guarantors must be able to provide satisfactory evidence of income.

Additional documentation may be requested depending on the individual application.
